Ifyou are travelling abroad you most
certainly need a passport or recognized international
id-card- These documensta re in Sweden issued by the Police.
It is important that you can give proof of your identity if
you are abroad - on some countries it is necessary to carry
an ID-card should you be stopped in a police- or customs
control.
If you are travbelling on a ferry which is sailing via a
country outside the Schaengen area, you must carry a
passport as the ID-card is just valid inside Schengen and in
Switzwerland.
It is your own responsibility to find out if you need a visa
to enter your destination country. In Sweden all visa rules
